Peppermill is probably the chicest old-school lounge in the Sin City and a perfect spot after a long and exhausting night out. It has the feel of a 70′s-ish retro disco and has been named one of “America’s 10 Best Make-Out Bars” according to Nerve Magazine. The moment you walk in, you’ll know why. The Fireside Lounge comes off so strong you can pretty much feel the ambiance while you are in the parking lot.
The Fireside gives a whole new meaning to a dark room. It may probably be the brightest dark room you’ll ever enter, or the darkest bright room. The place is mirror-laden and full of low, comfy booths that are located to the south of the place beside a fire pit. Flames explode from a pool of radiant water and it gives you the feeling of being in a neon-colored fish tank.
The booths are intimate and comfortable and are ideal for a long, quiet conversation. The evening gown clad waitresses, wearing black dresses having slit up to mid-thigh, cater to your needs by sitting down at your table to get your orders or freshen your drinks. Get a load of the oversized girl-girl specialty cocktail called the Scorpion.
It has been remodeled a number of times since the 70′s, and the flat-screen monitors dampen the ambiance a bit but the Fireside is still true to its legacy. A lot of couples swing by just for the sake of making out. Not even the supposedly distracting music videos glowing on the flat screens bother them.
No one will mind if you’re looking to count yourself in. Prep up for the date of your life. Bring that prospective love partner by the fire pit, have yourselves a pair of mai tais, and keep the sparks flying.
