Wet Republic at MGM Grand.
The Wet Republic offered day life when it was first introduced to the public, and what a day life did it produce! Day life is an alternative to the night life and there are tons of day life spots sprouting in this city of sin but none as titillating as Wet Republic.
It is described as a 53,000-square-foot ultra pool combining an exclusive nightlife vibe with poolside pampering. High-end VIP service, top-of-the-line amenities and well-known entertainers are standard at Wet Republic which even comes with models as servers.
Its crisp, contemporary design envelops you in a linen-white blanket bejeweled with emerald green, turquoise and canary yellow – very South Beach! It is packed with eight separate pools and spas totaling more than 7,600 square feet. If eight pools weren’t enough, it also offers two saltwater pools – the only ones in Las Vegas bringing more of that South Beach vibe to the heart of Sin City.
Wet Republic gives you the experience of having a day life inside their VIP bungalows, deluxe cabanas, dance floor tables, a lounge room and daybeds situated all across the expansive lot whilst enjoying your modern pool party with your friends.
Premier entertainment is the foremost objective of Wet Republic. A 4,100-square-foot sundeck is situated between the lounge and the saltwater pools. A stage magically transforms in the center of the pool party during events, offering guests a perfect view of celebrity guests and entertainers.
The six VIP bungalows are deemed the most premium section of Wet Republic. These exclusive havens which could rival the cribs of celebrities and easily out design any average house are dressed in beiges, browns and ruby red. These are each decked out with a king-sized day bed, a giant flat screen HDTV, a video game console, DVD library, a mini fridge, and even a misting system. It also offers a personal security safe for storing your valuables; we all know we need to store some of our bling lest we want them deep in the heart of their saltwater pool.
Or if you prefer, you can also lounge around in their neutral-toned deluxe cabanas which are also equipped with huge HDTV’s, fully-stocked refrigerators along with L-shaped oversized couches and chaise lounges. These deluxe cabanas are splashed with orange and green color accents are facing the DJ booth so you won’t ever miss a beat.
If you find yourself running out of sunblock and may want to give sun-hoarding a rest, you can check yourself into the Lounge. No worries, getting out of the sun doesn’t necessarily mean out of the party and bar scene. This lounge is close to the DJ Booth and Main Bar and you can still catch glimpses of uber hot chicks and hunks lounging by the pool. And the Lounge is just a few meters away from the bar; your mojitos are still just a few struts away.
Whether you actually want to bask under the sun poolside sipping your cocktail, or sit by the bar listening to the DJ spin his tunes, or relax inside your very own exclusive bungalow, the Wet Republic has a day bed, lounge chair or stool ready for you.
A bar area, complete with a very ultra-lounge feel (but outdoors and during the day), runs the length of the main pools and it’s set up to be a pretty great meeting spot. From that bar comes not only frozen drinks and cocktails, but Wet Republic’s “pitcher” service — pitchers full of fun, summer drinks, like mojitos. Not surprisingly, Wet Republic is for guests 21 and older.
How you want to sit at the pool (versus the bar) depends on how you want to spend the day. For in-pool action, 18 water lounges are scattered throughout the shallow end of the pool. If that sounds good, except for the whole being-in-the-water part, there are 80 chaise lounges laid out around the deck, with reversible headrests for when the sun is facing the other way.
If the pockets on your swim trunks run deep, there are 18 daybed options. If they run deeper still, 10 party cabanas line the side of the pool. If you’re going to go all out (but not all off — Wet Republic bucked the trend of European pools in Vegas and is requiring women to wear tops), check in to one of the pool’s six “VIP bungalows.”
